My name is Samantha Allen and this website was inspired by Briciole, a restaurant in London. I reviewed restaurants as part of this too-good-to-be-true internship a few summers ago and went to Briciole. I can honestly say that it was the first time I ever talked about a restaurant like it was a person—a person I wanted to marry immediately.
It was there that I learned I loved reviewing restaurants, and it was in State College that I started practicing my skills even further. Finally, I decided to create this website to talk about restaurants in the area. Then, I realized I didn’t just love restaurants—I loved cooking and sharing my recipes. There you have it.
I’m a 21-year-old about-to-be graduate of Penn State University that has no professional experience in food, but I’ve had 21 years of experience eating it, so you’ll just have to trust me. But do yourself a favor—trust me (or at least my kick ass guava cake recipe).
